Lalandia Billund

We specifically wanted to book a house here to have an electric charger when we came, we had driven a car for 4 hours that day and a ferry for 4 hours. We had 8% battery left.

When we arrived, insanely tired, we could no find the charger. Eventually we rang the service desk who transferred the call and we had to wait. Then I explained the situation and the woman on the phone told me quote: "I'll send a technician to show you where the charger is".

The technician came after 10 minutes and he was a nice and helpful guy but quickly discovered the owned had taken the charger off the wall. And told us to take it up with the service office. We would not have to pay those DKK 150.

The thing is the money wasn't the problem. The problem was all the energy we used after the long trip on just nothing. There is a closet still with a sign for electrical charger and a keyfob or some kind and they actually had me wait on the phone for minutes when they messed up.

I have not contacted the service center again and they have not gotten back. I assume the price of the charger will be deducted but for us it was stress having to find a charger in town, plus I assume it's more expensive. Some of the houses on the same street have chargers, even though the people occupation the house now doesn't even have electrical vehicles. So it's just poor planning and communication within Lalandia. No one offered us to switch houses. I'd actually expect a decent compensation because we paid 10k Norwegian crowns nok for just 3 nights here.

The house is nice and new. Kitchen is nice and mostly pretty clean. Patio is nice but spider's web around the chairs.

The two bedrooms are nice aesthetically, but we did not sleep good here. Pillows are terrible. Everything falls right through which is usually an indication that the pillow is used up. Beds are small. Would love a real double bed. My arms barely fit next to my body without falling out of the bed.

The furniture in what is actually a nice living room are uncomfortable. From the two chairs to the sofa. And the TV lacks any use for us. Please put in a cheap smart TV, w haven't watched analog TV in 10 years.

I've never before seen a cheese slicer in plastic. Even the sharp part. Come on refrigerator and oven are great. Bathroom great.

Other than that. It's nice that you get codes to house and gates and can drive directly in.

Then we found wristbands that allows access to the lalandia entertainment center including the aquadome, but also lets us open the gate and house.

The area where the house is located is nice and quiet except the loud noise from the airport which woke us up around 6 am today (sleeping with open windows)

There is at least 550m to the nearest playground. That playground is good but not fantastic. Several same playgrounds are located here but some distance depending on where you live. I wish we brought bikes. The train that takes you to where all the stuff happens is always insanely crowded and for me I would rather walk than sit on the laps of strangers. But I mean, it's a 20 minute walk.

The main building is fun. Restaurants are reasonably priced. Good options but mostly junk food. Weirdly none of the restaurants have even a 4 on Google reviews.

There's plenty of fun things to do with or course the main attraction being the aquadome. Or is it Aquadrome? 😂 my kid loved it here, plenty of good stuff and they take hygien very seriously. Monkey tonk land or whatever is called is also cool. All the visual effects and "kulisser" in there are great and there's plenty to do for everyone and I can easily see why people would come back for it.

For us, we preferred Lalandia's entertainment center to that of Legoland and perhaps even Lego House. We've not tried the "wow" park which is the highest rated alternative her.
