Located in Jelling, Denmark, Kongernes Jelling is a significant historical site that offers insights into the Viking Age. The site features the renowned Jelling Mounds, Runic Stones, and a church, all part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Experience Center provides interactive exhibits detailing the history of Viking kings Gorm the Old and Harald Bluetooth, their monumental constructions, and Denmark’s transition to Christianity. Through engaging displays, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of this pivotal era in Danish history.
The Monument Area, encompassing the burial mounds and runic stones, is accessible to visitors. However, access to the Experience Center requires an admission fee.
The admission fee for the Experience Center is 120 DKK per adult. Children under 18 years enjoy free admission. The Experience Center operates daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (May–October) and from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (November–April), with closures on Mondays during the winter season. The Monument Area remains open 24/7. Free parking is available nearby.
